Wineries

The Santa Cruz Mountains wine industry is over a century old. The regions 40 small, primarly family-run wineries give personal attention to each vintage. The unique environment, with its high-quality soil and coastal fog, has created wines recognized at national and international competetions. Most of the wineries require tour reservations. Many wineries listed feature tasting rooms. A passport program operated by the Santa Cruz Mountain Winegrowers Association allows people to visit these wineries as well as wineries not normally open to the public. The passport program also offers a booklet that gives the winery names, addresses, hours and specialities. Wineries are open for special tours to passport holders on four Saturdays a year. Call for more information at 831-479-9463.
