Most Conferences are funded through special Sunday collections held four times per year in their parishes. These funds are typically returned to local needy families. The Council raises funds through the operation of three THRIFT STORES in the county. The thrift stores sell donated used clothing, household items, furniture, used cars, etc. The stores depend on donations of these items and have a pick up service to make it easier. All donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE and because they are being recycled, they are friendly to the environment. To help keep costs low, volunteers are often used as clerks, sorters, truck drivers, and for some management duties like promotion, supervising and merchandising.
